References & Extended Bibliography
We are strong advocates for evidence-based and well-documented research, news, directives… And especially so when it comes to conservation, ethology, animal welfare science as well as when discussing wildlife or captivity ethics. Therefore in this spirit, we always share with our readers all the research material that supports what we publish.
We provide here a non-exhaustive list of the material that we have studied, reviewed and are using in our work. It comprises of a mix of scientific peer-reviewed articles, quality gray literature (including reports and guidelines by conservation and welfare NGOs and non-profit organizations, as well as newspaper and specialty journal articles), and online sources including credible and reputable advocacy websites.
