Don’t blind wildlife…

Red lightNight flash photography, night walks using light torches that are not specifically made to avoiding disturbing wildlife has a negative impact.

Some animals rest at night, so don’t wake them up with that artificial light [DS-16].
Some other animals rely on the natural night light to find their way around –as the sea turtles hatchlings who easily get confused by human lights and die by the thousands trying to find the ocean [STC].

Some others are active at night (or in low-light conditions) only. So let’s not disturb an activity that relies upon obscurity or low-light for the sake of doing the right thing. Not doing so accounts for disrupting, disturbing and interrupting, therefore, are detrimental actions.
